Aur Tobateeye (アウル・トバティーエ). A young apothecary and magician often mistaken for a beautiful woman. Teeye was born of both human and beast blood, and was raised in the mountains by a centaur named Chiron. Because of being an "Aspect of the World", his emotions have the power to cause natural disasters, so the centaurs raised him to be mindful of his feelings. He sets out from his mountain home on a journey to save the continent of Atlantis from coming destruction.

Occasionally, his name will be written in English as "Tieh".

Itahl Klares Arun Ahda (イタール・クラレス・アルン・アーダ). A lively girl who dresses and acts masculine. She fled her home in rebellion and meets Teeye, whom she is almost immediately concerned about due to his lack of understanding of how the world works, and vows to be his bodyguard.

When the story was originally serialized, her identity as a woman was hidden from readers until her backstory was revealed. This was changed in the book version, where Teeye instead immediately recognizes her as a woman upon their first meeting.

Occasionally, her name will be written in English as "Lakshi".

BOIS MAGNUS (ボイス・マグヌス)

Caie Atus Stur Magnus (カイエ・アトゥス・ストゥル・マグヌス). A veteran warrior, a member of the Free Fighters Guild, and one of the most trusted mercenaries on the continent. Teeye saved his life, and due to the Guild's code of repaying a debt with one's life, accompanies him on his journey.

Occasionally, his name will be written in English as "Boice".

MANREID (マンレイド)

A mercenary and Bois's lover, who also goes by the nickname "Rei".

ILLADEL (イルアデル)

The young king of the Kingdom of Adrie. He has a strikingly similar appearance to Teeye, and shares his fate as an "Aspect of the World".

MALESIANNA (マレシアーナ)

Princess of the Kingdom of Adrie and Illadel's sister-in-law.

GRAUL (グラウル)

Head of the Almanac Bureau of the Kingdom of Adrie and a powerful magician.
